Candlelight Concert in Saint John

I’ve seen online ads for Candlelight Concerts for ages. I questioned their legitimacy and to be honest I was pretty sure they were fake—scams.

Well, I was wrong.

Friday night, Michael and I attended a Valentine’s Day performance by Listeso String Quartet at Stone Church in Saint John.

The performance was great. The setting was neat—I’d never been to Stone Church before.

Other than the actual performance, I found the “production” a little cheap. A pre-recorded welcome message was tacky. And if you plan to attend, I’d suggest splurging for a front row seat. The side-on-view balcony seats weren’t very comfortable, but I wouldn’t have wanted to be crammed in the lower floor seats either. Unsurprisingly the candles are all battery-powered but they do look pretty real.

All that said, I’d do it again! I’d love to see a piano performance sometime.

This blog breaks rules. It doesn’t focus on just one theme and I don’t post to it on a consistent schedule. That’s OK. It’s my blog. Not yours.

But you’re here! If you think you can piece together what it all means, I’d be curious to know your conclusions.
