Military Officer
Canadian Armed Forces | 2003 – Present
Reserve force officer with 23 years of experience successfully leading teams and managing people, planning and coordinating projects, and delivering and supporting leadership training. Filled a wide range of full-time and part-time positions in administration, policy analysis, program management, public relations and training delivery.
Serve as an advisor representing the LGBTQIA+ community on the Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers National Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group. Serve as co-chair of the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Atlantic) Professional Conduct and Culture Committee. Coordinated the Defence Ethics Program as the ethics coordinator for a Canadian Armed Forces unit with approximately 100 full-time and 1,000 part-time staff.
Served for 3 years, 2019-2022, as a regional training officer overseeing 8 expedition sites delivering outdoor adventure recreation training opportunities for youth across Atlantic Canada, overseeing 50+ personnel and managing a budget of approximately $1 million annually, plus $1.5 million in equipment assets.
