Elon Musk allowed Twitter to become a place where hate and intolerance are celebrated. I left right away and didn’t look back.

Mark Zuckerberg removed protections aimed at preventing harm for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and other marginalized people. I can’t be an active user of the Facebook and Instagram platforms right now.

I’ll continue to share my blog posts to Facebook so you’ll know I’m still alive, and I’ll maintain my accounts because there’s so much content that has been posted and curated to each over the years. And I feel it’s necessary for now at least to maintain my accounts for business purposes. But socially, I will not be engaging on Facebook or Instagram. I will also not be actively using Messenger. I hope things turn around, but for now, I’m out.

Update: Within minutes of sharing this blog post to Facebook, my profile was disabled by Meta. I can no longer access my personal profile, my business pages, my groups, or Facebook Messenger.

Further Update: I’ve regained access. And I still don’t plan to be active there.
